  1. On the home page  you will find some basic useful information.

    • Under Announcements will be anything pertinent to the VNETS classes. Scheduled outages, evaluations due etc. will be posted here.

    • In the blocks below the Announcements ticker, are links to useful information such as proposed schedules, the VNETS contract etc.

    • Any text that is in purple is normally a link that will take another page. Names will link to a profile page, course names will link to that specific course.

  2. Once you have logged into the Moodle site, you will see a few things change.

    • In the top left hand corner, you will see a link to Message and an icon if you have messages waiting for you.

    • Just underneath the header, a menu bar will appear with some menus and a link to My Courses which will list all of the active courses that you have access to.

    • The courses will also be listed towards the bottom of the page.

  3. Clicking on the course name from the drop down list in the top menu or from the course list at the bottom of the page will take you to the course main page. On each course page is a link to the Zoom conference for the class.  This link can be used by administrators that want to "drop in" to class for evaluation purposes or for students that are not able to be in the classroom.  This same conference room can be used by students after school for group projects etc. The Attendance link will take you to an Attendance report for your students.

  4. On the right hand side of the page, you will see some blocks with additional information. The People block will show you the teacher name and the envelope icon will link you to the messaging system so that you can send the teacher a message. Scroll to the bottom of the messages page to find the New Message box. The Class Recordings block will provide a link to the class recordings for the class.  You and your students should log in with your same Moodle username and password.

  5. In the Administration block on the right hand side of the page, you will see a link to Grades.  Click on it. Here you will see the course grades in the left hand column.  The individual activity grades are to the right.  You can scroll across the page to see each grade. To see grades for an individual student, click on the user report tab at the top of the page.

    • On the user report, select the student from the dropdown list on the right hand side and their grades will show up in the page below.

  6. Click on the Need Help With This Site? link at the bottom right on any page will open up this chat box.

    • Fill out the form and click on send.

    • This will forward an email or a chat notification to the DL Coordinator and will answered as soon as possible.
